Indications
- Eye Redness: Relief from redness caused by minor eye irritation (e.g., smoke, wind, chlorinated water).
- Eye Irritation: Used for temporary relief of burning, dryness, and discomfort due to environmental factors or tired eyes.

- Tetryzoline hydrochloride acts as a vasoconstrictor:
- It constricts dilated blood vessels in the eyes, reducing redness.
- Provides rapid soothing relief from irritation.
- Works within minutes and effects can last up to 4–6 hours.
- Form: Ophthalmic drops (eye solution)
- Dosage:
- Adults and children over 6 years: 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily.
- Not recommended for children under 6 unless advised by a doctor.
- Administration:
- Wash hands before use.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface.
- Remove contact lenses before using; wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
- Common:
- Temporary stinging or burning sensation
- Blurred vision
- Eye dryness or irritation
- Serious (rare):
- Eye pain or continued redness
- Pupil dilation
- Allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling)
- Rebound redness with prolonged use
- Hypersensitivity to tetryzoline or any other component
- Angle-closure glaucoma
- Children under 2 years of age
- Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism

Warnings and Precautions:
- Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days (risk of rebound redness).
- Avoid use if you have glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, or severe eye pain.
- Pregnancy and Lactation: Use only under medical supervision.
- If symptoms worsen or persist, discontinue and consult a physician.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Drug Interactions:
- Avoid use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them (risk of hypertensive crisis).
- Use caution with tricyclic antidepressants and other sympathomimetic agents.
