Indications
Xylogel is used for:
- Nasal congestion relief caused by colds or allergies
- Reducing swelling and inflammation of the nasal mucosa
- Minimizing nasal discharge
- Moisturizing and soothing the nasal lining

- Xylogel contains xylometazoline, a vasoconstrictor that:
- Narrows blood vessels in the nasal passages
- Reduces mucosal swelling and hyperemia
- Decreases nasal secretion
- Eases breathing through the nose
- Form: Nasal gel
- Suggested Use (Adults and Children >12):
- Apply a small amount of gel into each nostril 2–3 times daily
- Do not exceed 3 applications per day
- Use for no more than 7 consecutive days to avoid rebound congestion
- Common:
- Local irritation (burning, dryness, sneezing)
- Temporary headache or dizziness
- Serious (rare):
- Rebound congestion with prolonged use
- Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)
- Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or any ingredients
- Children under 12 years (0.1% formula)
- People with glaucoma, dry nasal mucosa (rhinitis sicca)
- Recent nasal surgery

- Do not use longer than recommended duration
- Avoid contact with eyes
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Drug Interactions:
- Avoid concurrent use with MAO inhibitors or other decongestants
- May interact with certain antidepressants (risk of hypertension)
